If you take a look back in my "Adventures" albums, you'll see that we went to Big Pine Canyon a year ago this weekend. Well, this time we turned it into a backcountry backpacking adventure! The aspens looked like they were a week or two away from their peak Fall colors. Oh well, at least it was a fun full-moon weekend! A storm moved through on our second night out and dusted a little bit of snow on us.

Now, since I don't go backpacking too often, I haven't procured a nice overnight pack. I always just rent one. This has worked well until this weekend. I would advise NEVER using a Jansport overnight pack. Sure, Jansport makes great bags to put your books in, but NOT all the stuff you need to stay in the wilderness for a few days. I will be shopping for a pack before my next backcountry camping adventure!
