The annual road trip to Texas had a rough start with some icy roads on Christmas eve. I was fortunate to make it home without a scratch, but I saw many others that did not fare so well.

Besides all the good family fun, I also made it to Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. On the way back, I stopped by White Sands National Monument, like I've done a few times in the past. This time I had my aerial photography rig with me, so you'll see a few photos from that at the end of this little series. I even made a sweet aerial video that you can check out here.
