We were off to Joshua Tree National Park this weekend. The weather was pretty good....really comfortable in the shade, at least! We hiked to the top of Ryan Mountain on Saturday, and to 49 Palms Oasis on Sunday. On the way back from the oasis, we saw a chuckwalla for the first time. What a chubby lizard! We took a side trip to Pioneertown before leaving the area.
