What's New

March 4, 2010 - Wow, it's been over a month since my last update! Don't you worry. There will be plenty of new photos posted in the near future.

As for now, I wanted to let people know that some of my work was selected to be displayed at the Buenaventura Art Association's "New Beginnings" Exhibit from March 7th - June 6th.

I would not have known about this exhibit had it not been for my good friend, Nina. So here's a plug for her! I met Nina at the local fairs when we would display our art for sale. She is the frugal artisan designing and producing great work at inexpensive prices. I saw her selling awesome hand-made jewelry, but she also does more than that! Check out her shop online!

February 3, 2010 - Added the California Central Coast - January, 2010 album.

Janury 27, 2010 - Added the Local Adventures - January, 2010 album.

I also put all my photos on Webshots. Why? Mostly because I had requests from folks that would like to comment on my photos, and you can do that on Webshots. I'm not fancy enough with the HTML to get that happening on this site yet. I figured Webshots would give my photos a little more visibility as well.

And that brings me to something else: If you or anyone you know needs to create a cool website to build his/her portfolio, let me know! I'd like to get a slightly different format going with my site now that I've gotten suggestions from others and a better idea of what I want.

Janury 13, 2010 - Added the Christmas 2009 album.

December 6, 2009 - Added the Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Zion National Parks - November, 2009 album.

November 15, 2009 - I was awarded first place in the "Scenic Shots" category of the National Park Service Spirit of the Mountains 2009 Photo Contest! This contest was specifically for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, which includes the bordering beaches. The winning photo was one that I had taken at Leo Carrillo State Beach a few months before. Check it out! It will be published in OUTDOORS, the quarterly calendar of events and programs for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It has an average circulation of 20,000 issues.

The coolest thing is that this is the first photo contest I've ever entered!

If you know what's going on with that, let me know.
