Top of the World Highway - July, 2010

This was quite an experience. The Top of the World Highway is a mostly gravel road in the Yukon Territory between the Alaskan border (closed daily from 9:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.) and the Yukon River. I decided to explore this stretch of road between 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. to get "twilight" photos (since the sunset and sunrise kinda blend together). There was not another person to be seen anywhere. It was just mountains, trees, rain, a gravel road, and mosquitoes. A playful fox showed up for one of my photo stops but wasn't willing to stay still long enough for any decent shots.
